This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the roadmap for robotics data collection, guiding direction and executing across engineering, design, operations, quality, and solutions.
• Evaluate the need for new capture modalities, and subsequently define the collection model, hardware, and tools.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to enhance the operator experience: including onboarding, task guidance, in-session feedback, error states, and review workflows. Operators work with one hand, in motion, while wearing a headset or against a timer.
• Develop prototypes and draft specifications, including requirements and user stories that withstand engineering scrutiny.
• Convert customer model requirements into collection designs, and adapt evolving research into quality standards for egocentric data: focusing on pose accuracy, sync tolerance, occlusion management, annotation schema, and acceptance criteria.
• Engage with collectors, session leads, and reviewers. When data underperforms during training, trace the issue back to the capture design or the tools used.
• Act as a representative for the product to hyperscaler and robotics foundation model teams, relaying their constraints back into the roadmap.
• Optimize metrics such as yield per session, rejection rate, cost per usable hour, capture-to-delivery time, and operator retention.
• Advocate for pilots as the standard approach to test changes. Implement small cohorts, establish clear hypotheses, and adhere to fixed windows. Scale successful initiatives and discontinue those that do not work.
• Minimum of 4 years in product management, with at least 2 years in robotics, physical AI, AR/VR, autonomous systems, or large-scale data collection.
• A technical degree or equivalent experience. Previous roles as a software engineer or researcher are advantageous.
• Possess the technical expertise to engage in meaningful discussions with a research team.
• Direct experience with one or more of the following: egocentric or wearable data capture, teleoperation systems, robot data pipelines, multi-sensor collection rigs, or similar configurations.
• Proven experience in defining product vision and roadmaps in dynamic and ambiguous environments.
• Hands-on background in robotics, including roles such as robotics or ML engineer on embodied models, teleoperation engineer, or similar positions.
• Familiarity with imitation learning, VLA models, or manipulation policy training, and the data requirements of those methodologies.
• Experience managing distributed human operations, including crowds or contractor workforces.
• You have successfully delivered a physical product and understand calibration, sensor synchronization, coordinate frames, and potential failures associated with them.

• Annual Performance Bonus up to 7%
