PHP Laravel Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, reliable, and maintainable web applications utilizing PHP 8+ and Laravel.

• Quickly transform business requirements into practical, dependable internal applications and workflow tools.

• Oversee work across various applications and projects, adapting priorities as business demands change.

• Improve and support applications utilized in daily company operations.

• Update legacy PHP systems into maintainable solutions based on Laravel.

• Create and sustain internal APIs, third-party integrations, and data workflows.

• Design, optimize, and manage MySQL databases for specific applications.

• Develop accessible and user-friendly forms and interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Diagnose and resolve production issues and problems reported by users.

• Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to convert business requirements into effective technical solutions.

• Review code and provide technical guidance, assisting the team in applying consistent standards for development, security, and maintainability.

• Write unit and integration tests to ensure functionality and avert regressions.

• Document application behavior, workflows, decisions, and technical implementation details.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional experience in developing applications with PHP.

• More than 2 years of professional experience utilizing the Laravel framework.

• Strong proficiency with relational databases such as MySQL.

• Experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs.

• Proficient in Git and GitHub.

• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Experience in deploying, supporting, and maintaining production applications.

• Proven ability to troubleshoot and diagnose production issues.

• Ability to organize and prioritize work across multiple simultaneous projects.

• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment where requirements and priorities may shift.

• Capability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks.

• Experience in maintaining or modernizing legacy applications (preferred but not required).

• Experience in developing internal business systems, operational tools, or workflow applications (preferred but not required).

• Familiarity with background jobs, queues, and scheduled tasks (preferred but not required).

• Experience in integrating with third-party APIs and data providers (preferred but not required).

• Understanding of authentication and authorization concepts (preferred but not required).

• Exposure to AWS-hosted environments or cloud-based deployments (preferred but not required).
