PhD Student, AI-based GraphRAG Parking Functions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Creating a (nearly) deterministic knowledge graph for the organized representation of text-based requirements.

• Establishing a domain-specific semantic model and ontology, which includes reasoning mechanisms for verifiable GraphRAG queries.

• Executing the proposed concepts from start to finish, including delivering a scalable minimum viable product (MVP) utilizing approved toolchains.

• Assessing and validating the methods using real-world requirements from selected parking functions (SAE Level 2).

• Showcasing the correctness, completeness, traceability, and certifiability of the generated outcomes in close collaboration with industrial and academic partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• A good to excellent university degree that qualifies for doctoral studies in cybernetics, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field.

• Programming experience (e.g., Python, Cypher, CI/CD) and a willingness to engage with graph-based technologies and tools.

• A solid understanding of, or a strong research interest in, formal methods, artificial intelligence, graph theory, ontologies, and requirements engineering.

• A strong capability to abstract and model complex system relationships.

• Proficiency in English at level C1.

• An analytical, structured, and self-motivated working style, along with a strong intrinsic motivation for scientific research.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a commitment to fully comprehend and implement innovative approaches.
