Pharmacy Technician – Prior Authorization, Medication Assistance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +7 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with Pharmacy Specialists to enhance patient access to medications.

• Secure prior authorization and co-pay assistance for injectable medications.

• Examine electronic health records and align them with payer requirements for designated medications.

• Provide support to clinics regarding prior authorization inquiries.

• Work together with physicians, nurses, admissions personnel, and contracting teams.

• Coordinate and communicate with patients regarding inquiries about high-cost drugs.

• Partner with patients and Patient Assistance Programs to facilitate high-cost medication therapies.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

• Must hold a current California Pharmacy Technician license in good standing.

• Prior authorization experience is strongly preferred.

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching; occasional sitting, pushing and pulling, as well as lifting materials up to 40 pounds over distances of up to 10 feet.

• Must be responsive to auditory alarms and communication devices, including telephones, beepers, fire alarms, and mechanical failure alarms.

• Adequate mobility to access equipment, patients, and other customers.

• Ability to read information on medication labels.
