This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.
• Execute daily specialized pharmacy technician functions across various ministries or within a centralized service model.
• Acquire knowledge and oversee multiple site workflows, travel logistics, matrix relationships, and cross-ministry priorities.
• Address specialized-area challenges, ensuring that documents and records are accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
• Act as a resource for regional, system, and external stakeholders.
• Tackle complex multi-ministry issues and escalate or resolve them as necessary.
• Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
• Mentor team members when practice standards are not maintained.
• Conduct reviews and audits, report and monitor KPIs, and pinpoint opportunities for quality enhancement.
• Develop system standardization and spearhead the implementation of operational modifications and advancements.
• Engage in regional or system work teams, committees, and councils.
• Organize team member education, training, orientation, and competency assessments.
• Provide training to team members in specialized areas.
• Prepare and distribute work schedules while ensuring specialty-area cross-coverage.
• Collaborate with regional or system pharmacy teams and communicate changes in the specialty area.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while upholding HIPAA confidentiality.
• Operate in a constant state of alertness and adhere to safety protocols.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience of 10 years.
• A minimum of three years’ experience as a pharmacy technician or in a related healthcare field.
• Illinois: Must be a Pharmacy Technician registered with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR), or complete the registration process within 2 months of hire.
• Missouri: Must be a Pharmacy Technician with the Missouri Division of Professional Registration, or complete the registration application and fingerprinting process by the time of hire, with future registration within 6 months.
• Wisconsin: Must be a Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services, or possess a Wisconsin registration application number (PAR), with future registration within 6 months.
• Capability to coordinate workflows and facilitate process improvements across multiple ministries.
• Adherence to legal, regulatory, accreditation, confidentiality, and HIPAA standards.
• Frequent use of keyboards and data entry tasks.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling objects up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Availability to work day shifts, totaling 40 scheduled hours weekly.
