Pharmacy Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Conducts quality assurance reviews of reports, correspondences, addendums, or supplemental analyses.

• Ensures that clear, concise, and evidence-based rationales have been presented in support of all recommendations and/or determinations.

• Ensures adherence to all client instructions and specifications, addressing all inquiries appropriately.

• Verifies that each review is backed by clinical citations and references when applicable, ensuring all cited references are current and sourced from reputable medical journals and/or publications.

• Guarantees that the content, format, and professional appearance of reports meet the highest quality standards and comply with company policies.

• Ensures that the appropriate board specialty has reviewed the case in accordance with client specifications and/or state mandates, accurately documented in the case report.

• Confirms that the peer reviewer has attested solely to the fact(s) and ensures no evidence of reviewer conflict of interest exists.

• Ensures that the provider's credentials and signature are included in the final report.

• Identifies inconsistencies within the report and reaches out to the Peer Reviewer for clarification, modifications, or corrections as required.

• Aids in resolving customer complaints and quality assurance issues as necessary.

• Ensures compliance with all federal ERISA and/or state mandates at all times.

• Provides insights and direction to management regarding consultant quality, availability, and adherence to company policies and client specifications.

• Promotes the effective and efficient use of company resources.

• Engages in various educational and training activities as needed.

• Performs additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of two years of experience as a pharmacy technician or in a clinical/related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

• Active Pharmacy Technician License/Certificate.

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, medications, and laboratory values is essential.

• Proficiency in basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, including whole numbers and decimals; ability to compute rates and percentages.

• Must be a qualified typist with a minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute.

• Familiarity with multiple software applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and the Internet.

• Excellent command of English usage, grammar, punctuation, and style.

• Ability to accurately follow instructions and respond appropriately to directions from upper management.

• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in work.

• Seeks opportunities to enhance quality and monitors personal work to ensure standards are met.

• Must exhibit exceptional communication skills, conveying information accurately, listening effectively, and asking questions for clarification as needed.

• Capable of working independently, prioritizing tasks, and utilizing time efficiently.
