Pharmacy Retail Home Infusion Billing Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Dakota, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Review and finalize coding, claims, and denials for medications, supplies, and diagnoses within the pharmacy.

• Maintain the payer database, incorporate new payers, and assign pricing contracts.

• Collaborate with payers to verify eligibility.

• Evaluate the provider database to ensure that license information is both complete and accurate.

• Assess pharmacists' progress notes for appropriate documentation.

• Monitor claims and denials to evaluate outstanding accounts receivable.

• Stay updated on evolving payer regulations through payer updates, industry publications, and listservs related to home infusion.

• Assist in generating statistical reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

• Provide consultation for hospital-based ground services as required.

• Utilize analytical software to create custom accounts receivable or denials reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• An Associate's degree in health care or a business-related field is required.

• A Bachelor's degree is preferred.

• Four years of relevant experience may be accepted in place of education.

• A minimum of three years of experience in pharmacy and medical billing is necessary.

• Certification as a pharmacy technician, coder, or medical biller is preferred.
