This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee contracting, project/program management, compliance, vendor management, customer data analytics, and cost reduction for Pharmacy expenditures.
• Track financial programs through data analytics and reporting.
• Build and sustain relationships with members regarding contract portfolios, educational services, consultative offerings, technology products, and pharmacy solutions.
• Create analyses based on market share requirements, comparisons, and benchmarks related to contracts.
• Collaborate with pharmacy supply chain and acute pharmacy leaders both individually and at committee meetings.
• Lead internal team members, stakeholders, and staff from participating facilities to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
• Oversee purchase decision support, which includes validating line-item prices and conducting comparative quote analyses.
• Design and conduct educational sessions for members and staff regarding product usage and cost efficiencies.
• Supervise Premier supplier sales cycles, assess performance, verify contract pricing accuracy, update data, and inform facility pharmacy departments.
• Provide technical guidance for contract launch materials, surveys, second sourcing events, product planning initiatives, and committee meetings/presentations.
• Collect information from various data sources and present findings to support decision-making processes.
• Assist with the implementation of new members, addressing rostering issues, and conducting orientations.
• Serve as a liaison among Sourcing, Legal, multidisciplinary teams, facilities, distributors, suppliers, and Accounts Payable.
• Evaluate contracting opportunities, support GPO operational activities, and track category savings and key performance indicators.
• Conduct data-driven analyses of operational and financial trends, along with strategic insights related to GPO.
• Maintain communication with members and health systems, identify contract opportunities, and enhance Premier service uptake.
• Confirm updates to the Premier roster, site alignment, contract rostering, pricing inquiries, and discrepancies.
• Offer technical support and resolve pharmacy-related inquiries for members.
• Represent Premier at member meetings and industry events, engaging in pharmaceutical purchasing agreement negotiations and supplier discussions.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• High School Diploma or GED (Required).
• Experience in pharmacy contracting.
• Understanding of the healthcare supply chain.
• Proficiency in data analytics, analysis and forecasting, hospital pharmacy, and account management.
• Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
• Experience in pharmacy purchasing/supply chain functions within a health system, covering Inpatient, Outpatient, Specialty, Retail, and 340B Pharmacy Operations.
• Familiarity with conducting cost-benefit analyses and benchmarking.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Capability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
• Strong organizational and time management skills; adept at multitasking.
• Strong interpersonal skills with both internal and external stakeholders/suppliers.
• Experience in fact-finding, price-cost analysis, and detailed contract justification.
• Ability to work independently, make decisions, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Proficient in operating computer programs and software.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a business environment.
• Willingness to travel 1-20% within the US.
