This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wyoming.
• Offer support in short-term, surge, and on-demand scenarios based on military requirements.
• Deliver personal financial counseling and management services to military personnel and their families at military bases.
• Provide individualized counseling, consultations, briefings, presentations, and referral resources.
• Collaborate with installation and military branch Points of Contact to ensure the program aligns with installation needs.
• Assist service members in creating spending plans for extended periods of absence.
• Create and distribute informative financial materials.
• Organize, promote, and lead Personal Financial Management classes and workshops throughout the military lifecycle.
• Address requests for age-appropriate classes and seminars.
• Utilize virtual counseling and secure electronic communication when authorized.
• Manage duty-to-warn scenarios in accordance with Department of Defense protocols.
• Engage with leadership and participate in individual and group supervision.
• Share trends and issues from designated installations.
• Take part in in-services, training, quality improvement committees, and other contract-related activities.
• Execute other assigned duties.
• A bachelor's degree is required.
• An associate degree plus 4 years of relevant experience may be accepted in place of a bachelor's degree.
• A high school diploma plus 6 years of relevant experience may be accepted in place of a bachelor's degree.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial counseling is required.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Proficiency in English is required.
• Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are necessary if specified by the contract.
• Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
• Must successfully complete the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest process.
• Must possess one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
• A valid in-state driver's license is required as part of the certification.
