This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Deliver support in short-term, surge, and on-demand scenarios arising from military requirements.
• Offer personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and their families.
• Conduct individual counseling sessions, briefings, and presentations.
• Create financial materials and organize Personal Financial Management classes and workshops.
• Employ virtual counseling techniques.
• Oversee duty-to-warn situations in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines.
• Engage with leadership and take part in supervision and training activities.
• A bachelor's degree is required.
• Applicants with an associate degree and 4 years of experience may be considered in place of a bachelor's degree.
• Candidates with a high school diploma and 6 years of experience may also be considered instead of a bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial counseling is necessary.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and proficient in English.
• If stipulated by the contract, bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
• Ability to pass a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation is essential.
• Must successfully complete the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.
• Possession of one of the following certifications is required: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
