This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.
• Deliver support during short-term, surge, and on-demand scenarios arising from military requirements.
• Offer a comprehensive range of personal financial counseling services to military personnel and their families at military bases.
• Conduct individual counseling sessions, consultations, briefings, presentations, and referrals.
• Collaborate with installation and military branch Points of Contact to ensure the program aligns with installation requirements and remains within its defined scope.
• Provide direct personal financial counseling and management services to service members and their families.
• Assist service members in creating spending plans for prolonged absences.
• Create and distribute informative financial materials.
• Organize, promote, and deliver Personal Financial Management classes and workshops throughout the military lifecycle.
• Address requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
• Employ virtual counseling and electronic communication methods as authorized.
• Handle duty-to-warn situations in accordance with Department of Defense guidelines.
• Communicate with leadership and engage in both individual and group supervision.
• Share insights regarding trends and issues at the assigned installations.
• Participate in in-services, training sessions, quality improvement committees, and other assigned contract duties.
• Perform any other responsibilities as assigned.
• A Bachelor's degree is required, or an associate degree plus 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree, or a high school diploma plus 6 years of experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial counseling is necessary.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Proficiency in spoken English is mandatory.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required if specified by the contract.
• Must be capable of obtaining a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
• Must successfully pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest process.
• Must possess one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
• A valid in-state driver's license is required among the necessary certifications/licenses.
