Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern, Spanish Speaking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Deliver outpatient services via Brave Health's telehealth platform.

• Provide empathetic, high-quality mental health care remotely.

• Extend care to patients of all ages.

• Complete around 30 client care hours weekly, averaging 6 clients each day.

• Utilize mental health and/or substance abuse diagnoses to guide treatment.

• Formulate treatment plans.

• Carry out thorough assessments.

• Collaborate with clients to help them reach their objectives.

• Employ telehealth software, video conferencing, and internal communication tools.

• Engage in the application follow-up process, including filling out a brief questionnaire if requested.

• Coordinate with the relevant senior recruiter if there is a mutual fit.

⛳️ Requirements

• A master's level degree and appropriate licensure.

• Unrestricted eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.

• A home workspace that ensures privacy for patient safety and complies with HIPAA regulations.

• Proficiency in English.

• Spanish language skills preferred; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.

• Understanding of mental health and/or substance abuse diagnoses.

• Experience in treatment planning.

• Comfortable using telehealth software, video conferencing, and internal communication tools.

• Proven experience partnering with clients to achieve their goals.

• Capability to conduct comprehensive assessments.

• An Associate Therapist/Registered Intern license or another relevant credential, as applicable.

• Ability to fulfill 30 client care hours weekly, averaging 6 clients daily.

• Experience working with patients diagnosed with substance abuse and addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with chronic severe mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or schizoaffective disorder.

• Extensive one-on-one psychotherapy experience, defined as 20 or more client-facing hours each week.
