This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Provide coverage during short-term, surge, and on-demand scenarios for absent counselors
• Offer personal financial counseling and management services to military personnel and their families
• Assist service members in creating a spending plan for extended absences
• Create and distribute informational financial materials for service members and their families
• Organize and deliver various Personal Financial Management classes and workshops
• Address requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars
• Effectively utilize virtual counseling and electronic communication methods
• Manage duty to warn situations following DoD protocols
• Communicate with leadership and engage in regular supervision and quality improvement activities
• A bachelor's degree is required
• Applicants with an associate degree plus 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree
• Applicants with a high school diploma plus 6 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree
• A minimum of 3 years of financial counseling experience is required
• Must be a U.S. citizen and possess fluent English language skills
• If stipulated by the contract, bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required
• Must be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation
• Must successfully pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process
• Must hold one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC)
