Performance Test Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and uphold performance testing scripts utilizing Apache JMeter.

• Set up and carry out Load, Stress, Spike, and Endurance (Soak) Tests to evaluate system performance under different workload scenarios.

• Leverage Azure Load Testing for extensive cloud-based performance evaluations.

• Develop and implement browser performance assessments using Playwright.

• Execute test data parameterization, request correlation, and workload modeling to replicate genuine user traffic.

• Assess and verify page load durations, rendering efficiency, API response times, throughput, and concurrency in accordance with established SLAs.

• Oversee application and infrastructure performance through Azure Monitor and Application Insights.

• Examine CPU, memory, network, database, and application-level metrics to pinpoint performance hindrances.

• Perform root cause analysis and deliver actionable insights for performance enhancement.

• Create comprehensive performance test reports, SLA validation documents, bottleneck assessments, and suggestions for improvements.

• Collaborate with Development, DevOps, and Business teams during performance evaluations and release validation processes.

• Assist in performance tuning initiatives and evaluate the efficacy of implemented enhancements.

• Ensure adherence to performance testing best practices and standards throughout the software development lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 5–7 years of practical experience in Performance and Load Testing.

• Proficient in testing enterprise web applications and API-centric systems.

• Background in performance analysis, reporting, and performance engineering methodologies.

• In-depth knowledge of Apache JMeter for load and performance testing.

• Familiarity with Azure Load Testing or comparable cloud-based load testing frameworks (Mandatory).

• Experience in using Playwright for browser performance assessments.

• Solid understanding of HTTP/HTTPS protocols, REST APIs, and web application architectures.

• Experience with request correlation, parameterization, and handling dynamic data.

• Awareness of performance metrics, including response time, throughput, concurrency, latency, and error rates.

• Hands-on experience with Azure Monitor and Application Insights.

• Capability to analyze infrastructure and application performance metrics, encompassing CPU, memory, network, and resource utilization.

• Experience in identifying performance bottlenecks and proposing optimization strategies.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent skills in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
