Performance Test Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and uphold resilient test automation frameworks for USPS software applications.

• Spearhead performance validation across intricate, distributed applications.

• Conceptualize, implement, and assess performance, load, stress, and scalability tests.

• Verify that platforms fulfill enterprise-grade reliability and throughput standards.

• Simulate the activity of hundreds or thousands of virtual users.

• Gather KPIs such as response time, throughput, and error rate.

• Support protocols including HTTP/HTTPS and web services, contingent on licensing.

• Generate analysis reports and graphs to pinpoint bottlenecks.

• Conduct performance testing throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Create performance test scripts and develop test plans.

• Execute, analyze, and report on testing outcomes.

• Formulate, implement, and sustain performance testing policies, frameworks, and best practices.

• Develop, update, and oversee performance testing and automation training resources.

• Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to cross-functional teams.

• Facilitate enterprise-wide performance testing and automation initiatives.

• Assess and recommend testing tools, technologies, and methodologies.

• Offer administrative support for testing infrastructure and tools, including ALM, LoadRunner Enterprise, and UFT.

• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and DevOps teams.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of relevant experience.

• More than 8 years of experience in Information Technology.

• At least 5 years of experience with ALM and UFT is preferred.

• Proficient in executing performance testing within the SDLC.

• Skilled in developing performance test scripts.

• Experienced in creating test plans, executing tests, analyzing outcomes, and reporting results.

• Knowledgeable in crafting and maintaining performance testing policies, frameworks, and best practices.

• Competent in creating and managing performance testing and automation training resources.

• Experienced in coaching, mentoring, and training cross-functional teams.

• Familiar with evaluating testing tools, technologies, and methodologies.

• Administrative support experience for testing infrastructure and tools, including ALM, LoadRunner Enterprise, and UFT.

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited college/university is preferred, though not mandatory.

• If a relevant four-year degree is not held, an additional four years of pertinent work experience is required.

• Must be able to obtain and sustain a Public Trust clearance.

• Must pass a comprehensive government background check, including detailed forms and fingerprinting.

• Must meet the USPS U.S. residency requirement.

• U.S. Citizens must not have been outside the U.S. or U.S. Territories for more than six consecutive months in the last three years, with exceptions applying.

• Non-U.S. Citizens must not have left the U.S. or U.S. Territories for over 90 consecutive days in the last three years.

• No U.S. citizenship is required.

• Must be capable of completing identity verification through biometrics and artificial intelligence.

• Required to be on camera during virtual interviews.

• Less than 10% travel is required.

• Scheduled weekly hours: 40.
