Performance QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Design and implement performance, load, and scalability testing for key components of Veeam products, covering everything from requirement analysis and lab setup to test execution and results evaluation.

• Create and sustain realistic enterprise-level test environments, which include extensive infrastructures and intricate topologies.

• Detect performance bottlenecks and system limitations, collaborating closely with developers, functional QA, and product managers to address these issues.

• Engage in root cause analysis of performance problems reported by Technical Support and customers.

• Manage and enhance performance test laboratories: environment creation, configuration, monitoring, and teamwork with IT departments.

⛳️ Requirements

• A technical degree or a robust, hands-on enthusiasm for systems and performance.

• 1–2 years of experience in performance and/or load testing, or a strong practical background in system performance.

• Capacity to analyze test outcomes and effectively pinpoint bottlenecks, limits, and performance risks.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Windows and/or Linux at an advanced user or system administration level.

• Solid understanding of system internals, including CPU, memory, storage, and networking.

• Strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and structured thought processes.

• Desire to develop as a performance and scalability engineer.

• Proficiency in English for daily communication within international teams.
