Performance QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.

📋 Description

• Design and implement performance, load, and scalability testing for key components of Veeam products, covering everything from requirement analysis and lab design to test execution and results evaluation.

• Create and uphold realistic enterprise-grade test environments, featuring extensive infrastructures and intricate topologies.

• Detect performance bottlenecks and system limitations, collaborating closely with developers, functional QA, and product managers to address them.

• Engage in root cause analysis of performance issues reported by Technical Support and customers.

• Take ownership and improve performance test labs, including environment creation, configuration, monitoring, and working in conjunction with IT teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Technical education or a strong hands-on enthusiasm for systems and performance.

• 1–2 years of experience in performance and/or load testing, or a robust practical background in system performance.

• Capability to analyze test results and effectively identify bottlenecks, limitations, and performance risks.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Windows and/or Linux at an advanced user or system administration level.

• Good understanding of system internals, including CPU, memory, storage, and networking.

• Strong analytical mindset, keen attention to detail, and structured thinking.

• Desire to advance as a performance and scalability engineer.

• Proficiency in English for daily communication within international teams.
