Performance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough site assessments to pinpoint mechanical and operational inefficiencies within facilities.

• Examine utility expenses and financial statements.

• Collaborate with contractors to deliver innovative, cost-effective, and technically sound solutions.

• Develop written and schematic technical plans that communicate solutions and associated risks.

• Execute energy savings, operational savings, life cycle cost, and feasibility analyses.

• Provide energy analyses and establish guaranteed savings for recommended measures.

• Create financial models based on client parameters and project outcomes.

• Work with Account Executives and Project Managers to craft and present customer proposals.

• Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure seamless installations and act as the technical communication bridge between operations and sales.

• Identify and liaise with subcontractors and consultants for technical analyses and installation descriptions.

• Approve equipment orders to guarantee accurate estimates and timely delivery.

• Develop metrics to validate energy and operational guarantees.

• Create and implement strategies in open protocol scenarios.

• Stay updated with technological advancements through industry publications, seminars, conferences, and relationships with contractors and suppliers.

• Monitor regional legislation impacting project development.

• Maintain a technical understanding of energy and facility operations, serving as a continuous technical resource for clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited Engineering/Technology program or equivalent.

• Three (3) to eight (8) years of experience in a construction or energy service-related field.

• Willingness to travel frequently, approximately 25%-50%, including overnight stays.

• Must possess the ability to be adequately self-directed.

• Background in professional engineering/technology.

• Bonus qualifications: ten (10) years of experience in a construction or energy service-related field.

• Bonus qualifications: CEM, CMVP, LEED, NEBB TAB, ASHRAE, Professional License (PE), or NCESS Record certifications.

• Ability to work in New England or New York.
