Performance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Act as the main technical project developer and resource for the Public Sector East team located in New England or New York.

• Comprehend customers' technical requirements and convert them into precise, actionable solutions.

• Conduct thorough site assessments to pinpoint mechanical and operational inefficiencies within facilities.

• Review utility bills and financial documents for analysis.

• Collaborate with contractors to provide innovative, cost-effective, and technically sound solutions.

• Develop written and schematic technical plans that convey solutions and associated risks.

• Execute energy savings calculations, operational savings assessments, life cycle cost analysis, and feasibility studies.

• Deliver energy analyses and determine guaranteed savings based on proposed measures.

• Construct financial models based on customer specifications and project outcomes.

• Work in tandem with Account Executives and Project Managers to formulate and present customer proposals.

• Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure seamless installations and serve as the technical communication bridge between operations and sales.

• Identify and engage subcontractors and consultants for technical analyses and project installation descriptions.

• Approve equipment orders to guarantee accurate estimates and timely delivery.

• Establish metrics to ensure energy and operational guarantees are fulfilled.

• Stay informed about current technologies, regional regulations, and energy and facility operations.

• Act as an ongoing technical resource consultant for clients.

• Support delivery teams in ensuring smooth installations and outstanding customer outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited Engineering/Technology program or equivalent.

• Three (3) to eight (8) years of experience in a construction or energy service-related field.

• Willingness to travel frequently, approximately 25%-50%, including overnight stays.

• Must possess the ability to be effectively self-directed.

• Capability to successfully devise and implement strategies in open protocol situations.

• Any of the following certifications are advantageous: CEM, CMVP, any LEED Certification, NEBB TAB, any ASHRAE Certification, Professional License (PE), NCESS Record.
