This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Design, enhance, and implement automated test cases that encompass both Web UI and API layers.

• Construct and uphold CI pipelines utilizing tools like Jenkins to facilitate consistent and repeatable testing throughout development cycles.

• Conduct and evaluate automated security testing results; collaborate with developers to prioritize and resolve issues.

• Partner with release engineering to ensure product release readiness.

• Create and perform performance qualification test plans for TrueNAS solution integrations.

• Detect performance bottlenecks and regression trends within integration stacks; share insights with product and engineering teams.

• Contribute to the development of automated performance testing frameworks aimed at ongoing process enhancement.

• Assist sales and customer success teams with performance-related engagements as needed.

• Write performance white papers and sizing guides for significant integrations for the use of sales, support, and customers.

• Generate clear test reports and performance summaries for engineering, product management, and go-to-market stakeholders.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• Proficiency in coding with Python and/or Java/Groovy for test automation and scripting.

• Experience with CI/CD tools, particularly Jenkins pipeline development.

• Strong understanding of test automation best practices and coding standards.

• Familiarity with performance benchmarking tools such as FIO, Vdbench, or similar.

• Working knowledge of Linux or other *NIX-based operating systems.

• Familiarity with Jira or comparable issue tracking systems.

• Excellent analytical skills with the capability to interpret test data and discern trends.

• Strong written communication skills — this position involves generating externally-facing technical content.

• Self-motivated; capable of converting high-level requirements into detailed test plans with minimal oversight.
