This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the architecture and configuration of Workday.
• Manage the business process framework within Workday — including how approvals are routed, how tasks are triggered, and how workflows are sequenced throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Configure and uphold security roles to ensure appropriate data access for designated individuals.
• Develop and sustain custom reports and calculated fields that inform compensation decisions, headcount tracking, and organizational management.
• Design and oversee integrations between Workday and our wider People technology ecosystem — including payroll, Pulley, and Ashby — to ensure seamless data flow without manual reconciliation.
• Conduct audits and consistently enhance system configurations as the organization evolves and business requirements shift.
• Act as the internal expert on Workday — the individual who thoroughly understands the system’s capabilities and encourages its effective utilization.
• Identify manual, repetitive workflows within the People function and create automations to eliminate them.
• Assess and implement AI tools pertinent to People Operations, compensation, and systems administration.
• Collaborate with the Total Rewards & Infrastructure Lead to develop and execute a People AI roadmap.
• Keep abreast of new AI and automation features released by Workday and integrate those capabilities internally.
• Establish and maintain the data infrastructure that underpins compensation decisions — including salary bands, job architecture, and leveling frameworks.
• Support the annual compensation review cycle from a systems and data standpoint.
• Oversee equity administration in Pulley and ensure data integrity across grant history, vesting schedules, and records of terminated employees.
• Collaborate with the Total Rewards & Infrastructure Lead on compensation modeling and scenario analysis as we scale.
• 4 to 6 years of experience in an HRIS or People Systems role within a rapidly growing company.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Workday — you have configured business processes, created security roles, designed integrations, and written calculated fields. Merely using it is not sufficient.
• A genuine enthusiasm for AI and automation in the People domain — you have insights on its future direction and a desire to contribute to its development.
• Familiarity with equity administration platforms; experience with Pulley is a plus.
• Sufficient comfort with compensation data to be a valuable partner in compensation architecture and modeling.
• A low-ego, high-output mindset — you create solutions for what doesn’t exist without requiring a detailed brief.
