This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nigeria.
• Serve as the primary contact for managers and employees within the business unit.
• Comprehend business objectives and assist in aligning HR strategies accordingly.
• Provide guidance on fundamental HR policies and procedures.
• Aid in managing and resolving employee relations matters.
• Conduct preliminary investigations and escalate complex issues when necessary.
• Stay informed about legal requirements to minimize risks and ensure compliance.
• Support the implementation of performance management systems.
• Assist line managers with conducting performance reviews and creating development plans.
• Help tackle underperformance and facilitate the setting of attainable goals.
• Assist in the talent acquisition process by collaborating with the recruitment team.
• Support the onboarding process to ensure a seamless transition for new hires.
• Contribute to the development and execution of employee retention initiatives.
• Identify training needs within business units and for individual coaching.
• Collaborate with the Learning & Development team to deliver pertinent training programs.
• Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
• Provide basic advice on compensation and benefits issues.
• Assist in the annual salary review and bonus processes.
• Support organizational change initiatives by offering HR expertise and guidance.
• Help formulate change management strategies that align with business goals.
• Facilitate communication and training during transitions.
• 1-2 years of experience in an HR role.
• Knowledge of HR practices and labor laws.
• Experience in performance management, employee relations, and talent management.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Capability to establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Aptitude for handling sensitive situations with discretion and confidentiality.
• Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
