This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.
• Take full ownership of the recruitment process from sourcing to offer across all departments.
• Collaborate closely with hiring managers and leadership on recruitment strategy and workforce planning.
• Develop and sustain robust talent pipelines.
• Ensure a consistent and high-quality candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
• Manage daily People operations throughout the entire employee lifecycle.
• Oversee payroll processes, guaranteeing accuracy and punctuality.
• Maintain employee records, contracts, and People systems effectively.
• Ensure adherence to local labor laws and regulations.
• Create, implement, and continuously enhance People policies and processes from the ground up.
• Act as the internal reference point for governance and best practices.
• Serve as a trusted contact for employee-related matters.
• Address employee relations issues with professionalism and discretion.
• Promote engagement initiatives and foster a strong, positive culture.
• Work alongside leadership as a strategic People partner.
• Support organizational design, performance management, and scaling efforts.
• Offer insights and recommendations regarding people-related decisions.
• Provide ad hoc support to leadership, including scheduling, coordination, and follow-ups.
• Assist with internal communications and cross-functional initiatives as necessary.
• 5–8 years of experience in People/HR, with substantial exposure to recruitment, operations, and generalist roles.
• Demonstrated experience in establishing People functions, processes, and policies from inception in a startup or scale-up setting.
• Strong knowledge of the Singapore and Malaysia Employment Act; familiarity with UK employment practices is advantageous.
• Practical experience in managing payroll and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Capability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
• Experience managing regional or multi-country People operations (Nice to Have).
• Knowledge of modern People systems and tools such as Ashby and Revolut People (Nice to Have).
• Previous experience collaborating closely with founders or senior leadership in a high-growth environment (Nice to Have).
