This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Deliver comprehensive and precise drafting outputs, which include drawings, shop details, and bills of materials (BOMs).
• Ensure high-quality results with timely delivery that meets customer-specific requirements.
• Create organized, accurate, and easily understandable fabrication documents that are consistent with design calculations and manufacturing constraints.
• Generate detailed permit, approval, and erection drawings that adhere to purchase order specifications and facilitate material installation.
• Maintain strict project timelines, often adapting to last-minute modifications or changing priorities.
• Communicate project challenges and requirements to Project Engineers, Design Engineers, and Detailers to guarantee prompt technical resolutions.
• Respond swiftly to calls, emails, and inquiries from clients, design teams, or manufacturing personnel.
• Provide expert solutions for field-related issues and produce the necessary documentation to support customer service.
• Continuously improve productivity, accuracy, and technical knowledge.
• Support and uphold drafting standards utilized by production detailers.
• Manage multiple intricate projects throughout fabrication and erection stages, balancing overlapping individual responsibilities.
• Ensure compliance with established engineering processes and initiate corrective measures to maintain quality standards.
• Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing quality, fostering innovation, and boosting efficiency.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in metal building drafting.
• At least 5 years of experience with Tekla, AutoCAD, Revit, Trimble Connect, and other detailing software.
• Highly detail-oriented, with proven experience managing multiple projects through fabrication and erection phases.
• An adaptable team player with strong interpersonal communication abilities.
• Capable of documenting workflows, optimizing processes, and adhering to detailed instructions.
• Able to perform well under pressure while following established procedures and guidelines.
• Strong skills in mathematical and trigonometric computations.
• Proven capability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general PC/technology tools.
• Drafter IV: Minimum of 5 years of experience in metal building drafting.
• Drafter V: Minimum of 7 years of experience in metal building drafting.
• At least 5 years of experience as a checker or quality inspector for buildings with complexity levels 1–10.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience utilizing Tekla, AutoCAD, Revit, Trimble Connect, and other detailing software.
• Strong adaptability and effective collaboration in team-oriented environments.
• Solid background in process improvement and operational efficiency.
