This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop PCB layouts for intricate digital, analog, RF, high-speed, and power electronics designs.
• Strategize and oversee PCB stack-ups in coordination with fabrication vendors and manufacturing engineers.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers to comprehend schematics, routing guidelines, and design intentions.
• Work closely with mechanical engineers to guarantee proper integration of board form factors, connector placements, and placement restrictions.
• Implement best practices for signal integrity, power integrity, grounding, impedance control, and thermal/EMI reduction.
• Execute design reviews and incorporate feedback to ensure manufacturability, dependability, and adherence to company standards.
• Create and sustain manufacturing documentation, including Gerber/ODB++ files, fabrication notes, and assembly drawings.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineering to ensure designs align with supplier DFM requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, OR a minimum of 2 years of experience in PCB layout for production hardware.
• Experience (Project or Class) in PCB design.
• Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-2221/2222, IPC-7351, etc.).
• Familiarity with PCB materials, manufacturing processes, and stack-up construction.
• Proficiency in controlled-impedance routing, differential pairs, length matching, and high-current power distribution.
• Experience in scripting and automation.
• Proficient in Altium Designer.
• Experience with simulation tools to validate layout designs.
