PB Medical Coder – Neurology Clinic

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Accurately and efficiently code medical records in accordance with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS standards.

• Ensure that all documented services are coded correctly and seek clarification for incomplete documentation.

• Uphold productivity, accuracy, and turnaround benchmarks for designated work queues and chart reviews.

• Timely review and communicate any coding corrections, re-billing, denials, and documentation-related issues.

• Professionally address coding and billing inquiries from providers, facilities, and internal teams.

• Maintain necessary credentials, adhere to organizational policies, and practice HIPAA-compliant procedures.

• Promptly communicate coding concerns, discrepancies, or obstacles to leadership and collaborate with quality and billing teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional coding experience in a neurology clinic setting.

• A minimum of 3 years coding experience in general or multi-specialty environments.

• CPC certification obtained from AAPC.

• High school diploma required.

• Experience with EMR systems.

• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and communicate effectively with clients and team members.

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Basic skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• High accuracy level and a solid understanding of federal and state coding regulations and guidelines.

• Must maintain all required credentials during employment.
