This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Moldova.
• Oversee the daily operations, performance, and efficient functioning of the payroll team.
• Provide strategic guidance, oversight, motivation, and direction to the payroll team.
• Aid in the development, performance evaluation, training, and ongoing professional advancement of team members.
• Assist with the recruitment, onboarding, and evaluation of team members in accordance with established criteria.
• Prepare, review, and supervise payroll activities, including payroll processing, payments, forecasts, management reports, tax submissions, and regulatory filings.
• Help manage and enhance payroll procedures, systems, and controls utilized by the organization.
• Support the Line Manager in evaluating long-term payroll trends, reviewing payroll reports, and analyzing payroll forecasts.
• Ensure adherence to all payroll-related financial, legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.
• Create team activity plans, individual action plans, and performance goals to facilitate the achievement of business objectives.
• Generate reports, presentations, and proposals as needed to ensure accurate payroll delivery and informed decision-making.
• Appropriately delegate responsibilities while maintaining effective supervision, accountability, and performance review processes.
• Exemplify professionalism, commitment, strong work ethics, and personal integrity.
• Keep accurate payroll, financial, and related records.
• Foster and maintain productive working relationships with colleagues, suppliers, clients, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Meet established individual and team targets while effectively managing assigned workloads.
• Comply with all organizational policies, procedures, and standards.
• Engage in special projects and undertake additional duties as reasonably required by the role.
• Contribute to the overall success and efficient functioning of the organization.
• A minimum of five years of professional experience.
• Proven experience as an effective and comprehensive Team Leader.
• Demonstrated capability to mentor and inspire a payroll team.
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders and manage expectations effectively.
• Proficient in conveying complex information to those outside the Payroll domain.
• Established understanding of payroll principles and local payroll regulations for supported countries.
• Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and analytical skills – capable of identifying, resolving, and mitigating issues.
• Proficient in multitasking and prioritizing workload.
• Self-motivated individual with initiative.
• Excellent attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills.
• Capable of assisting in payroll and financial management and oversight.
• Strong leadership with the ability to drive team performance.
