This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Croatia.
• Serve as a genuine subject matter expert for the country.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with key stakeholders in Payroll Implementation, Finance, Product, and Engineering.
• Handle full end-to-end payroll processes in-house, including statutory filing requirements, exceptions, approvals, payments, and compliance.
• Ensure complete data integrity and quality.
• Conduct accounting and reconciliations.
• Emphasize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Implement and optimize processes.
• Mentor and support payroll specialists.
• Provide backup for regional managers during their absences.
• Experience in payroll management or a related field.
• Familiarity with payroll best practices.
• Proficient in software tools such as SAP, Excel, and Google Sheets.
• Possess an analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international work environment and a passion for making a difference.
• Productivity-oriented, consistently seeking ways to enhance efficiency and expedite tasks.
• Understand the importance and ideal of working predominantly asynchronously.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English.
• Remote work experience is not mandatory but is advantageous.
• Professional working proficiency in both English and Serbian/Croatian.
• Familiarity with Pantheon software.
