This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Oversee international payroll processing while advising clients across various countries, ensuring compliance with social security regulations and double taxation agreements (DTAs).
• Manage payroll for both domestic and international employees, including shadow payrolls, expatriates, and business travelers, optionally serving as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC).
• Keep track of payroll deadlines and payment processes with relevant governmental authorities.
• Stay updated on legal changes at both domestic and international levels, implementing necessary adjustments in payroll accordingly.
• Facilitate (de-)registrations to acquire tax IDs and social security numbers.
• Submit applications for international assignments, including tax exemption requests, applications for tax class 1 for individuals with limited tax liability, and A1 certificates.
• Offer support during audits concerning German payroll tax and social security legislation.
• Completed vocational training as a tax clerk (Steuerfachangestellte/r) or possess an equivalent commercial qualification.
• Several years of experience in payroll processing as well as social security law, especially in an international context.
• Proficient in both German and English languages.
• Familiarity with DATEV software.
