Payroll Specialist – Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Be part of the Global Payroll team, assisting with 23 European payrolls, encompassing a range of responsibilities.

• Oversee and support daily payroll compliance needs, ensuring the precise, complete, and timely processing of payroll, which includes all remittances and filings with relevant tax authorities as well as employee payments.

• Collect information related to pension and health insurance, registering with necessary agencies and providing documents for employee review and signature.

• Conduct payroll orientations, providing detailed explanations to new international starters and transfers.

• Maintain payroll documentation and records meticulously.

• Collaborate with external parties, including auditors, tax authorities, and payroll service providers.

• Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure the payroll department's objectives and responsibilities are effectively achieved, including collaboration with HR, the company's external payroll service providers, and banking partners.

• Ensure accurate, complete, and timely payroll processing by coordinating and securing payroll data inputs, validating all related information, and facilitating timely payments to employees' bank accounts.

• Collaborate with Finance teams in India to create and post month-end journals, perform flux reporting, conduct month-end balance sheet reconciliation analysis, and manage all payroll accounting tasks.

• Provide daily support for employee inquiries, offering education and assistance as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• Payroll Certification is mandatory.

• Experience in Pensions and Benefits is essential.

• Background in Finance is advantageous.

• At least 8 years of substantial payroll experience in a global payroll setting, including knowledge of international payroll tax systems and stock-based compensation.

• Specific experience with France and Finland is highly beneficial.

• In-depth understanding of payroll systems, controls, and compliance frameworks is required.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel/PowerPoint/Word/Outlook) is required.

• Exceptional organizational, project management, and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with a keen attention to detail, are required.

• Must be flexible and adaptable to rapidly changing work environments, responsibilities, competing priorities, and tight deadlines.

• Fluency in English is a must.
