Payroll Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Provide comprehensive support for U.S. payroll processing from start to finish across various startup clients.

• Aid in payroll data entry, conduct payroll audits, and offer support for payroll reconciliation.

• Verify employee deductions, payroll modifications, bonuses, commissions, and reimbursements.

• Assist in the payroll setup and termination processes for both new hires and departing staff.

• Facilitate payroll-related benefits deductions and monitor contributions for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plans.

• Help with payroll tax reporting, filings, and year-end documentation like W-2s and 1099s.

• Support reporting of payroll-related equity compensation and manage payroll events.

• Contribute to payroll accrual reporting and provide support during month-end closing.

• Maintain accurate payroll records, documentation, and internal controls.

• Operate within payroll systems such as Gusto, Rippling, Justworks, Deel, ADP, or similar platforms.

• Identify and suggest improvements for payroll workflows and enhance operational efficiency.

• Collaborate closely with Payroll Operations, HR, and Accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll, HR operations, or payroll administration.

• Preferred experience in supporting U.S. payroll operations.

• Experience in managing multiple clients, entities, or business units.

• Familiarity with payroll systems such as Gusto, Rippling, Justworks, Deel, or similar platforms.

• Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets.

• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

• Capability to handle multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
