This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Ensure that payroll operations for new hires, terminations, salary modifications, and compensation and benefit distributions are conducted efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with national regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate closely with the Accounting and Treasury departments for month-end closing activities, which include payroll account reconciliations and reporting.
• Oversee global benefits management, maintaining relationships with vendors and brokers.
• Identify, investigate, and rectify any discrepancies related to payroll and benefits.
• Acquire a deep understanding of the business and strategic goals to formulate and execute optimal policies and compensation strategies for the organization.
• Lead the review and revision of salary policies to ensure our compensation packages remain competitive and attractive in the market.
• Keep current with labor laws and regulations to maintain compliance.
• Assist with or supply necessary information for internal and external audits, including payroll and country regulatory audits.
• Ensure the accuracy of HRIS records and generate reports as required.
• Offer support to employees on various HR-related matters.
• Engage actively in strategic initiatives that enhance employee experience and foster talent development.
• Over 5 years of experience in a similar capacity, ideally within fast-paced environments such as startups or the fintech sector.
• In-depth knowledge of labor laws, tax regulations, and payroll compliance standards.
• Proficiency in payroll systems and advanced skills in Excel.
• Strong analytical abilities, with competence in managing budgets and financial reports.
• Previous experience with HRIS systems is essential; familiarity with BambooHR and Workbeat is advantageous.
