Payroll Specialist – 80% home office

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.

📋 Description

• Accurate and timely execution of payroll accounting tasks

• Calculation of salaries based on employment contracts, working time data, vacations, and other payroll-related information

• Computation of personal income tax, social security contributions, and employer's public burdens

• Management of salary components, allowances, overtime, vacation compensations, and other benefits

• Support for payroll processes related to onboarding and offboarding

• Keeping payroll data and employee records up to date

• Handling of working hours, overtime, sick leave, sick pay, and vacation data

• Preparation of monthly data submissions and declarations to the tax authority, particularly the 08 declaration

• Preparation of payroll lists and associated payroll documentation

• Preparation of reports related to annual income tax (M30)

• Support for labor and statistical reports for the Central Statistical Office (KSH)

• Assisting clients with ad hoc administrative and payroll-related inquiries

• Addressing employee queries related to salaries, vacations, and tax deductions

• Monitoring changes in Hungarian labor, tax, and social security regulations


⛳️ Requirements

• Relevant experience in payroll or related fields

• Knowledge of Hungarian payroll, taxation, and social security regulations

• Practical experience with tax declarations and payroll reports for the tax authority

• Familiarity with onboarding and offboarding processes

• Experience in managing sick pay, vacation, overtime, and other working time data

• Precise, accurate, and responsible work ethic

• Independent and structured thinking

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Reliable and discreet approach to handling sensitive employee data

• Proficiency in English is preferred, at least at a level necessary for communication in the workplace
