This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.
• In the role of GP Compliance Expert, you will take ownership of payroll compliance for your specific country or region.
• You possess extensive knowledge of local legislation, applying it to various aspects ranging from audits to product design.
• Your task will involve transforming intricate regulations into scalable processes, systems, and documentation, ensuring that Remote consistently meets and anticipates regulatory standards.
• You will collaborate closely with teams in Product, Engineering, Design, Operations, and Legal to integrate compliance into the core of our global payroll platform.
• You will spearhead investigations and resolve incidents, promote continuous improvement, and mentor teams to enhance compliance capabilities throughout the organization.
• This position combines subject-matter expertise with strategic systems thinking, making you a vital architect in Remote's development of compliant, automated global payroll solutions at scale.
• Extensive knowledge of payroll and employment compliance for your country/region, along with a solid understanding of how legislation impacts payroll calculations and system logic.
• A proven track record in leading audits, regulatory assessments, or compliance initiatives at the country level.
• Experience in collaborating with technical teams to translate statutory regulations into product specifications.
• Strong communication skills, enabling you to influence stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Legal, Support, and Senior Leadership.
• A confident investigator with sound judgment in high-risk or sensitive situations.
• A mentor and coach who enhances the skills of the team around you.
• A systems thinker capable of designing frameworks, documentation, processes, and controls that can scale effectively.
