This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.
• Oversee the complete lifecycle of payroll implementations in Italy, including discovery, requirements gathering, configuration, data migration, testing, and go-live.
• Perform thorough due diligence on client payroll structures and limitations.
• Serve as the definitive subject matter expert for the respective country or region.
• Supervise data migration and validation processes, which encompass mapping, consistency checks, and loading of historical or progressive values when necessary.
• Strategize and implement testing cycles, including parallel runs as required, and confirm reconciliation against established acceptance criteria.
• Function as the client's reliable point of contact throughout the implementation process, effectively communicating complex issues in a clear and practical manner.
• Collaborate with internal teams to enhance templates, tools, documentation, and automation, aiming to minimize repetitive tasks and improve quality.
• Engage in Sales hand-over, lead client transitions, and facilitate client kick-off meetings.
• Direct the planning, execution, and oversight of global payroll implementation projects, ensuring they are delivered on schedule.
• Manage the process from initial setup through to parallel runs and the first month of live payroll before transitioning to Payroll Operations.
• Maintain a comprehensive record of all decisions made during the implementation process and ensure Payroll Operations has full access to this information.
• Demonstrated, hands-on experience with Zucchetti Paghe Infinity (required), including configuration, data imports/migrations, setup validation, and go-live support.
• A minimum of 2 years of payroll experience in Italy, preferably within a consultancy, payroll bureau, outsourcer, or in-house payroll function, with involvement in implementations or subsidiary transitions.
• Strong grasp of payroll principles that contribute to successful implementations.
• Capability to manage numerous stakeholders, priorities, and timelines in a remote setting.
• Clear and structured communication skills: adept at translating complex topics into actionable tasks for clients and internal teams.
• Experience with mid-year transitions, parallel payroll processing, and complicated onboarding situations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of high-volume CCNLs (e.g., Commerce, Metalmeccanico).
• Background in technology or high-growth environments and comfort in collaboration with Product and Engineering teams.
• Proficiency in professional English (both written and spoken).
• Extensive payroll experience in a client payroll context.
• In-depth understanding of legislative requirements in the relevant country.
• Experience in payroll implementations.
• Strong communication skills for elucidating payroll processes and challenges to clients and other relevant parties.
• Profound expertise in utilizing local payroll and software tools such as SAP, Excel, or Google Sheets.
