This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.
• Act as the primary payroll authority for your designated country, possessing extensive knowledge of local laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Keep track of and evaluate forthcoming regulatory changes by collaborating with the Compliance Alerts team, industry organizations (such as the Global Payroll Association), and governmental updates.
• Work alongside the Product Development team to guide and shape the product roadmap, ensuring that country-specific features remain current.
• Regularly update and maintain country workbooks with the latest legislative requirements and compliance modifications.
• Examine current payroll processes and propose enhancements to remove inefficiencies and reduce manual tasks.
• Propel the advancement of Strada Pay by improving product functionality, cost efficiency, and user experience tailored to local market demands.
• Lead ongoing improvement efforts within your country for Strada Pay methodologies, delivery strategies, templates, and standards.
• Provide subject matter expertise and strategic guidance to Strada Pay project teams during client implementations, ensuring seamless transitions to operational status.
• Serve as a gatekeeper for client customization requests—balancing innovation with standardization and compliance.
• Assist in pre-sales initiatives by demonstrating Strada Pay functionalities to potential clients, sharing insights, lessons learned, and best practices.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the Country Champion network to exchange knowledge and promote global alignment.
• Over 5 years of experience in Payroll or HR Outsourcing.
• In-depth understanding of payroll procedures, regulations, and compliance standards relevant to your assigned country or region.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with a talent for simplifying complex subjects into clear, actionable insights.
• Highly detail-oriented and process-focused, with a mindset geared toward continuous improvement.
• Strong sense of accountability, ownership, and commitment to service.
• Self-driven, proactive, and adaptable to a dynamic, global work environment.
• Capable of working independently, proactively, and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
