Payroll and Benefits Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Process biweekly and semi-monthly payroll across various platforms and jurisdictions.

• Ensure accuracy in salaries, deductions, bonuses, and commissions.

• Guarantee compliance with payroll regulations in Canada and the U.S., including taxes and remittances.

• Manage benefits programs (enrollments, changes, and terminations) in both countries.

• Serve as the primary contact for employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits.

• Maintain and update employee records within HRIS and payroll systems.

• Support onboarding and offboarding processes related to payroll and benefits.

• Coordinate with external vendors (payroll and benefits).

• Assist with annual closing processes: T4s, W-2s, and reconciliations.

• Participate in audits, reporting, and continuous process improvement.

• Identify opportunities to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and employee experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2 to 3 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration.

• Payroll certification (PCP or equivalent).

• Proven experience with payroll in Canada and the United States.

• Knowledge of multi-jurisdictional compliance (taxes and labor regulations).

• Hands-on experience with ADP, BambooHR, TraxPayroll, or similar systems.

• Experience in benefits administration in Canada and the U.S.

• Strong attention to detail and solid organizational skills.

• Confidential and professional handling of sensitive information.
