This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Oversee the comprehensive payroll processing for employees in India utilizing ADP systems, ensuring precision and adherence to established timelines.
• Review and confirm payroll entries, including new hires, separations, variable compensation, reimbursements, and statutory deductions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory regulations in India (PF, ESI, PT, LWF, Income Tax, Gratuity, etc.) in collaboration with the payroll service provider.
• Remain updated on legislative changes and ensure their accurate and timely integration into payroll procedures.
• Conduct payroll reconciliations, detect discrepancies, and implement corrective measures.
• Work with HR, Finance, and external parties to collect inputs and resolve payroll-related concerns.
• Timely and professionally address employee payroll inquiries through ticketing systems or email.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing precise payroll data and necessary documentation.
• Manage statutory filings and returns in partnership with the payroll service provider.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for process enhancement, efficiency, and standardization.
• Maintain strong payroll controls, thorough documentation, and audit trails.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of pertinent experience in payroll processing in India.
• Mandatory hands-on experience with ADP payroll systems.
• Extensive knowledge of Indian payroll regulations and statutory compliance.
• Advanced skills in MS Excel and payroll reporting.
