This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Accurately process and manage payroll on a weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly basis, ensuring timely completion.
• Verify and enter employee timesheets, confirming the accuracy of all information.
• Address payroll-related inquiries from employees, managers, and external parties.
• Ensure adherence to tax laws, pension regulations, and other statutory obligations.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and provide assistance during audits as necessary.
• Maintain precise payroll records and employee information within internal databases.
• Assist the HR and recruitment departments with payroll-related duties, including onboarding and offboarding paperwork.
• Keep abreast of updates in payroll legislation and industry best practices.
• Previous experience in payroll administration is crucial.
• Bonus: Experience in the recruitment field, particularly with contractor or temporary payrolls.
• Familiarity with payroll software systems (such as Sage, ADP, or comparable platforms).
• Strong understanding of tax regulations, pensions, and compliance requirements.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Strong communication skills with the capacity to manage sensitive information confidentially.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel.
