Payer Relations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in payer strategy and negotiations by modeling commercial and government healthcare contracts.

• Assess reimbursement rates and analyze the financial implications of proposed contract modifications.

• Create contract scenarios and evaluate both expected and actual reimbursement outcomes.

• Track payer performance and provide insightful data analysis to discover revenue enhancement opportunities.

• Generate visualizations, dashboards, and reports to effectively communicate data insights.

• Partner with business units to establish performance benchmarks and objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Statistics, or a related discipline.

• Demonstrated experience (typically 2-5 years) in data analysis, business intelligence, or a comparable field.

• 2-5 years of background in healthcare analytics, reimbursement, managed care, healthcare finance, or a related area.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas, and data validation.

• Familiarity with Power BI and PowerPoint.

• Understanding of reimbursement methodologies such as DRG, Per Visit, and APC.
