This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Execute the comprehensive Market Access strategy, ensuring that patients receive prompt access to Autolus therapies.
• Achieve strong coverage and reimbursement for Autolus products through regional, national, and governmental payers.
• Collaborate with center engagement and account management teams to onboard treatment centers and facilitate timely patient access.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with commercial and government payers within the designated area.
• Execute the sanctioned pre-launch payer education strategy.
• Deliver approved product information and health economic insights to key stakeholders.
• Analyze payer and policy environments, including legislation, payer class management, and advocacy efforts.
• Secure product coverage within designated accounts and identify potential access challenges to address.
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs and Global Market Access on clinical and outcomes-related issues.
• Provide education to authorized treatment centers regarding coverage, billing, coding, and reimbursement processes.
• Coordinate with Autolus Patient Support on payer coverage policies and inquiries.
• Implement the strategic and tactical market access plan within the specified geography.
• Collaborate with field account management post-launch to educate on payers and resolve any questions or concerns.
• Proven track record of success with National and Regional payers in Commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare sectors.
• Consistent history of achieving access and reimbursement goals in cell therapy, gene therapy, or hematology/oncology.
• Exceptional strategic and business acumen with a demonstrated ability to effectively partner with payers.
• Preferred knowledge of medical benefits and the economics of inpatient and outpatient services.
• Extensive experience working with private and public payers across all care settings.
• In-depth understanding of the hematology/oncology clinical landscape and the cell therapy market.
• Strong capability to work collaboratively and across various functions.
• Willingness and capability to engage hands-on with a sense of urgency in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
• Highly preferred experience in onboarding cell therapies with treatment centers.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification.
• Over 10 years of experience in hematology/oncology focusing on payer relations and market access.
• Profound knowledge of CART/Cell Therapy access, reimbursement, and policy dynamics.
• Comprehensive therapeutic and clinical knowledge in hematologic malignancies.
• Established leadership experience and capabilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and strategic thinking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Resilient under high-pressure situations.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
