πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Act as a resource for healthcare providers to comprehend covered indications and required documentation.

β€’ Assist technical and professional services within provider clinics, Ambulatory Surgery Centers, and hospital professional services.

β€’ Understand and facilitate Medicare and Commercial Carrier workflows related to daily coding, denial reviews, and appeals management.

β€’ Prepare necessary supporting documents and information for appeals.

β€’ Monitor and ensure accuracy in physician charge capture.

β€’ Work autonomously, manage multiple tasks, solve problems, and provide accurate recommendations to medical professionals.

β€’ Engage in coding team meetings and act as a subject matter expert.

β€’ Review medical documentation while assigning modifiers, diagnostic codes, and procedure codes.

β€’ Assess compliance with laws, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures.

β€’ Deliver precise and timely ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and CPT coding.

β€’ Conduct reviews and audits of medical records to support appropriate service reimbursement.

β€’ Communicate coding guidelines to physicians and healthcare providers to enhance documentation accuracy.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ An Associate degree in Health Information Technology or a Certification in Coding is required.

β€’ Required certifications include RHIA, RHIT, CPC, CPC-A, CCS, CCS-P, CCS-H, or COC.

β€’ If not certified at the time of hire, the certification must be achieved within one year of employment.

β€’ Specific knowledge of diagnostic and procedural terminology is essential.

β€’ Successful completion of coursework from an accredited institution in ICD diagnosis, CPT, HCPCS coding schemes, medical terminology, or human anatomy/physiology is preferred.

β€’ Proficient computer skills are necessary.

β€’ Ability to interpret, analyze, and abstract data and documentation is required.

β€’ Strong problem-solving abilities are needed.

β€’ Self-motivated individuals are encouraged to apply.

β€’ Excellent time management and organizational skills are essential.
