Patient Scheduling, Registration Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Handle incoming calls from patients seeking treatment.

• Initiate outbound calls to referred individuals, fostering relationships and providing information about Recover's services.

• Follow up with potential clients requiring further outreach or awaiting insurance enrollment.

• Verify insurance status using dedicated verification portals.

• Search and maintain client records within our electronic health record system, creating new charts or updating existing records as necessary.

• Guide clients through enrollment documentation and clarify the sign-up process.

• Facilitate warm hand-offs to alternative resources when clients do not qualify for Recover's services.

• Arrange initial appointments according to client preferences regarding timing, provider, and format.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bilingual in Spanish and English.

• Over 1 year of experience in a client-facing position involving phone outreach, intake, admissions, scheduling, or engagement.

• Knowledge of healthcare practices.

• Ability to work independently while managing a high volume of calls and follow-ups.

• Excellent communication skills with a talent for quickly building rapport and clearly explaining processes.

• Certification or Registration as an Alcohol Drug Counselor (RADT, CADC-I or higher, or equivalent) is a plus.

• Experience with EHR systems is advantageous.

• Background in addiction treatment or behavioral health environments is beneficial.

• Personal experience with substance use disorders is a plus.
