This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee patient management within the healthcare system as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
• Foster strong relationships with patients and act as their primary liaison.
• Evaluate market data to identify payer populations based on the regional payer mix.
• Confirm insurance benefits and ensure coverage for obesity treatment.
• Review payer pre-certification requirements and policies to avoid delays in certification.
• Provide education to providers and staff regarding payer regulations to reduce the risk of denials.
• Identify resources and eliminate obstacles to ensure patient access to care.
• Coordinate appointments across various service lines, laboratories, and diagnostic testing facilities.
• Schedule and modify appointments, conduct reminder calls, and manage the patient waitlist.
• Monitor the admissions of assigned patients, conduct daily rounds, and assist with scheduling discharge appointments.
• Support prescription fulfillment and evaluate cost and availability.
• Document patient information and retrieve external records.
• Engage family and community resources to meet patients’ emotional, social, and financial needs.
• Collaborate with social services regarding financial assistance, entitlement programs, patient benefits, healthcare resource utilization, and clinical cost efficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, Public Health, or a related field; OR an associate’s degree in a related field with two years of relevant experience; OR a high school diploma or equivalent with four years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication and negotiation abilities.
• Capable of interacting with individuals from diverse social, economic, and cultural backgrounds.
• Demonstrates flexibility, open-mindedness, and adaptability to change.
• Ability to remain seated for extended periods.
• Three years of experience in the healthcare field is preferred.
• One year of experience in statistical data analysis is preferred.
