This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the inbound referral process by initiating outreach for unscheduled referrals and meticulously tracking outcomes.
• Perform a high volume of outbound calls in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
• Reach out to referred patients via phone, text, and email to clarify next steps and assist with scheduling.
• Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to address patient concerns and encourage them to schedule psychiatric evaluations.
• Coordinate scheduling using internal tools and align patients with psychiatrists based on their needs, location, and insurance coverage.
• Distribute self-scheduling links, follow up, and resolve issues related to insurance and availability.
• Handle outbound referrals for Talkiatry patients who require services beyond its care scope.
• Communicate outbound referral processes, expectations, and subsequent steps to patients.
• Collaborate with partner organizations, submit necessary documentation, and monitor patient intake status.
• Keep referring providers informed about referral status and any obstacles encountered.
• Follow up with patients and partners to ensure the referral process is completed.
• Accurately document referral activities in internal systems and maintain a comprehensive audit trail.
• Work one of the required shifts: 8:00am–4:30pm EST or 10:30am–7:00pm EST.
• 1–3 years of experience in healthcare coordination, patient intake, call center operations, or referrals.
• Experience in coordinating care or referrals across various organizations or provider networks is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong preference for candidates with sales or customer retention experience.
• Exceptional phone presence, empathy, and a persuasive communication style.
• Proficient in using CRMs, EHRs (eClinicalWorks), and ticketing systems (Zendesk/ServiceNow).
• Ability to multitask and operate efficiently in high-volume environments.
• Must be organized, responsive, detail-oriented, and possess strong follow-through skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; Talkiatry participates in E-Verify.
