
Patient Advocate – Hereditary Cancer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• The Patient Advocate is responsible for addressing a range of intricate inbound and outbound inquiries to assist and empathize with our customers.
• This role involves coordinating testing services for patients by thoroughly reviewing test request forms and accompanying documentation submitted with patient specimens to ensure accurate and timely testing.
• Collaborating with healthcare providers to complete necessary documentation and sample submissions is essential.
• Confirming insurance eligibility and benefit levels is a key responsibility.
• Communicating with patients to clarify insurance coverage benefits and provide information regarding tests, including the processes and expected turnaround times.
• Independently managing assigned tasks to meet production and quality metrics is required.
• Identifying issues and trends while working with your team and leadership to establish best practices that ensure exceptional service and experience for all customers.
• A High School diploma or equivalent is required, along with at least 1 year of relevant experience, or an associate or bachelor’s degree.
• Fluency in Spanish is preferred and encouraged.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Preference will be given to applicants with a higher net typing speed.
• Strong listening, transcribing, and self-review abilities are necessary.
• Proficiency in PC usage, including familiarity with Excel, Word, the Internet, and e-mail.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks concurrently, often in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent organizational skills, task management, and professional judgment are required.
• A passion for problem-solving and identifying patterns is important.
• A dedicated individual who enjoys teamwork and supporting others is desired.
