Patient Advocacy Audit Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Conduct reviews and audits of the work carried out by Patient Advocates

• Ensure that patient advocacy tasks are executed accurately and comply with program standards

• Discover opportunities for revenue recovery and present actionable insights to leadership

• Daily review of rejected tasks in MAP to confirm the correct rejection code has been applied

• Identify errors in rejection codes where there are actionable issues related to enrollment, orders, or claims

• Report identified rejection code errors to the Director of Patient Advocacy

• Prioritize findings with potential for active recovery to reduce revenue loss

• Monitor trends in rejection code misuse to highlight training needs

• Document and record quality findings to aid in the enhancement of workflows and services

• Compile audit finding reports and provide structured feedback to the Director of Patient Advocacy

• Engage in calibration sessions to ensure alignment of audit standards with operational expectations.


⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree or higher is preferred

• Previous experience in a healthcare, patient access, billing, or quality assurance setting is highly preferred

• Knowledge of patient assistance programs, copay support, or pharmaceutical access programs is advantageous

• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHRs) such as EPIC, Cerner, Meditech, or Allscripts is preferred

• Strong computer skills, particularly advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (assessment may be conducted)

• Ability to work with multiple computer systems and platforms concurrently

• Basic understanding of medical terminology is preferred

• Experience with audit tools, quality tracking systems, or case management platforms is a plus

• Exceptional attention to detail with a keen ability to spot errors and inconsistencies

• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting and reporting findings

• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a high volume of audit cases

• Willingness to adapt to changing workflows, program updates, and shifting priorities.
