• Accountable for prompt and accurate actions on accounts pertaining to designated responsibilities.
• Adheres to governmental and managed care regulations and guidelines.
• Achieves departmental objectives alongside productivity and quality benchmarks.
• Participates actively in training and educational initiatives.
• Manages the team's workload and daily task assignments.
• Acts as a resource and provides training to team members.
• Delivers staff training or education tailored to departmental workflows.
• Leads the team in the absence of the supervisor or as assigned.
• Responsible for additional duties or projects as designated by Management.
• Implements billing regulations to investigate charges eligible for third-party health insurance reimbursements.
• Records payments, refunds, and adjustments to accounts within the specified timeframe.
• Completes assigned work queues within the established timelines.
• Evaluates Explanation of Benefits for inaccuracies or inconsistencies in reimbursement.
• Communicates actions taken on accounts and verifies or updates insurance information as instructed.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in payment posting, claims processing, denials, customer service, insurance processing, billing, or collections.
• Associate's Degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution (preferred).
• At least 4 years of experience with Epic systems (preferred).
