• Managing intricate accounting operations while ensuring compliance with GAAP and timely financial reporting.
• Acting as a technical accounting expert for a portfolio of Transforming Age (TA) entities.
• Supervising and overseeing the complete month-end and year-end closing processes for designated Transforming Age (TA) entities.
• Guaranteeing prompt, precise, and GAAP-compliant financial reporting.
• Conducting research, interpretation, and application of U.S. GAAP while documenting conclusions for complex and non-routine transactions.
• Leading technical accounting analysis and drawing conclusions for acquisitions and other complex transactions.
• Taking ownership of the preparation, review, and monthly sign-off of all balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Reviewing and approving journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements for all affiliates and entities under management.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a non-profit organization.
• An active CPA license.
• Experience in public accounting is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in people management or supervisory roles.
• Familiarity with multi-entity, regulated environments such as senior living, healthcare, nonprofit, or real estate is preferred.
• Experience in supporting external audits and conducting complex accounting reviews.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, GAAP, and the month-end closing process.
• Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to articulate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Proficient in financial software and systems, with advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
