This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Accountable for overseeing the patient account team in the processing of accounts and liaising with designated payors to guarantee appropriate reimbursement.
• Ensures adherence to state and federal regulations and laws.
• Maintains a comprehensive understanding of health insurance and government programs, as required.
• Aids in identifying issues and solutions by team members concerning delays in payment resolution.
• Reviews collection processes to identify opportunities for cash flow enhancement.
• Manages the aging of accounts receivable by analyzing trends and communicating with payors.
• Collaborates with A/R supervisors to pinpoint departmental training requirements for system education, industry updates, and modifications in collection processes and protocols.
• Works alongside A/R Supervisors and personnel to ensure employee productivity and quality meet established standards.
• Oversees desk assignments to optimize employee productivity and collection efforts across all client facilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience; MBA/CPA preferred.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in Healthcare Administration or Business Office.
• 2 to 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Advanced knowledge of healthcare accounts receivable.
• Strong understanding of Patient Financial Services operations, with a specific emphasis on Inpatient and Outpatient Managed Care and Commercial payors (e.g., Medicare regulations and compliance; HIPAA).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
• Advanced writing abilities.
• Capable of delivering exceptional customer service.
• Skilled in planning and executing process improvements.
• Competent in training and coaching staff.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong leadership and organizational capabilities.
• Proficient in fostering a robust team to achieve performance goals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal abilities.
• Solid technical skills, including knowledge of PCs and the MS Office Suite.
• Verification of all required vaccinations and screenings prior to employment commencement, including COVID-19 vaccination, influenza vaccination, and/or any future mandated vaccines and screenings.
